Who really cares about American Idol. For cryin' out loud. Less contestants, longer shows? I don't get it. It's all commercials, people.I caught up with the news on Access Hollywood at the gym after work today. Giddy co-host Seacrest is dating the hot chick from Dog Eat Dog, Simon signed for a million bucks to do Idol #2, (I happen to like Simon, so yay), and a bunch of other gossip I've already heard about certain contestants/judges/hosts not getting along, and plenty of other junk. Last night's viewing of Sunset Blvd. at Wil's place was much better, I'm sure. What a great old flick! So anyway. About work. It's funny how different you feel when you're at a "job" for 8 hours a day, plus lunch, plus drive... make that 10 hours a day. Gosh dang, I'm already aching to get back in the classroom. I feel like once I stop doing it for a while, the motivation is going to escape me, and that would not be good. But I'm glad this job is tolerable. Today they finally put me where I was supposed to go - downstairs in the great maze of cubicles that looks sadly like one of those mazes your friend built for his pet mouse/hamster/other rodent when you were 10. Then you time the stupid rodent and laugh at how long it takes the poor stupid thing to get through the awfully simple maze with cubicle-type walls. So back to my point..... walking through my new area kind of feels like that. I always seem to be going so far out of the way like that stupid mouse and there has got to be a shortcut that I just can't find. But I like where I'm at now - in front of a computer preparing credit report orders/accounts for the people upstairs. Instead of being one of the people upstairs. The only fun part about that was during slow points we could really dig into a credit report and scoop out the nitty gritty on Mr. Doe. So much that you almost know all about the person, hell you've got all his/her information. Would you trust your new home loan's credit report to be picked and prodded and supposedly verified by a temp. employee with very little training? Strange, I know.
